Visiting Timpanogos Cave is one of the most interesting hikes you can do. The trail is very steep, climbing 1,100 feet in 1.5 miles, but it's completely paved and lined with many benches for resting along the way. The sites along the trail leading to the cave are also spectacular. Once at the cave entrance, there are tour guides to take you through the cave and show you the amazing cave formations. Look for stalactites, underground pools and other formations. The cave is cool and lit so you can see the amazing formations within.

The trailhead is available to hikers in summer months, and is located up American Fork canyon. Take I-15 exit 287 to state route 92 Eastbound. The parking lot is about nine miles up the canyon.

This is a fun one for the whole family. And you learn a lot in the cave, it's pretty cool in there, you may want to bring a sweater. I would think twice about taking a stroller though. Those metal frame baby backpack things are better because of how steep it is.
