This fun little hike right outside of Moab is a great place to see one of Southern Utah's red rock arches without needing to go to Arches National Park. The trail begins right at the parking area and immediately begins ascending a slickrock path up; it's a bit steep but not too overwhelming; the beginning of the trail is the toughest part of this hike.

Once you get through the beginning of the trail, you'll continue a slow ascent until you reach the most fun – and pretty steep – part of the trail, which contains a series of notches carved out of the sandstone and a cable to hold on to for stability. Then you'll climb up a short ladder before reaching the arch. The stairway and ladder might make some uncomfortable, but most adults and children should be able to climb it with no problem, and the spectacular view of the arch is well worth it.

To get to the trailhead from Moab, take Main Street North 4 miles until you reach Potash Road. There, turn left (west) on Potash and continue 10 miles until you see signs indicating Corona Arch Trail. Make sure you bring plenty of water and be prepared for the heat.
